Send en cykel fra Polen til Rumaenien

Poland and Romania share the Carpathian mountain chain, creating a natural cycling corridor between two of Eastern Europe's most dynamic riding destinations. The Tatra Mountains straddle the Polish-Slovak border, while Romania's Carpathians curve south to create the legendary Transfagarasan road. Both countries offer authentic rural cycling through villages where horse carts still share the road with modern riders.

The Carpathian connection between Poland and Romania provides a compelling multi-week touring route for adventurous cyclists. Starting from the Polish Tatras near Zakopane, riders can trace the mountain chain southeast through Slovakia and into Romania, following increasingly wild roads through Maramures, where wooden churches dot the hillsides, and into Transylvania, where fortified Saxon churches anchor village squares. The gravel potential in both countries is enormous, with Poland's Bieszczady and Romania's Apuseni Mountains offering thousands of kilometers of rideable forest roads that see virtually no traffic. Both countries also share a tradition of roadside hospitality, with local families offering food and accommodation to passing cyclists.
